Unique Artisans . . . Unique Artwork
Lorie Lee Andrews
Lorie Lee Andrews, artist and illustrator, works in a variety of media, including printmaking and book arts. At Art in Hand, she exhibits primarily intaglio prints, many being copperplate etchings, that have been hand colored with watercolor. She is inspired by her love of nature and animals as well as the whimsical scenes that emerge from her imagination. She also exhibits a collection of tiny maze books that fold out to reveal famous quotes and drawings on a number of themes. Much of her work is characterized by fine lines and tiny details creating compositions that are full of surprises and mysteries.
A graduate of Herron School of Art and Design, Lorie Lee loves working from her studio in the Harrison Center in Indianapolis as well as teaching and taking classes at the Indianapolis Art Center. She is part of the 67th Street Printmaker’s Group which is composed of artists who are involved in printmaking at the IAC.
